    • An anti-lock brake system with traction slip control includes a pedal-actuated, auxiliary-force-assisted braking pressure generator having a master cylinder to which the wheel brakes are connected by main brake lines, auxiliary-pressure hydraulic pumps, wheel sensors and electronic circuits for determining the wheel rotational behavior and for generating electric braking-pressure control signals which, for the purpose of brake slip control, serve to control electromagnetically actuatable pressure-fluid inlet valves and outlet valves provided in the pressure-fluid lines. Pistons of the master cylinder include central control valves which, in the brake's release position, open pressure-fluid connections between the pressure-fluid supply reservior and the pressure chambers and which, in the braking position, close the pressure-fluid connections. The brake lines communicate through supply lines with the pumps. Valves are provided in the pressure-fluid lines connecting the master cylinder to the pressure-fluid supply reservoir and prevent return flow of the pressure fluid out of the pressure chambers of the master cylinder when traction slip control is performed.

    • A hydraulic brake system with anti-skid control and/or traction slip control has a braking pressure generator (1, 21), a pressure compensation reservoir (4, 4',24, 24', 42), braking pressure control valves (7, 8 V.sub.1 -V.sub.4, AV.sub.1 -AV.sub.4) by which pressure medium can be tapped from the wheel brakes of the controlled wheels in the braking pressure reduction phase. Further, there is provided an auxiliary pressure supply system (10, 10') by which, in case of control, it is possible to supply pressure medium into the wheel brakes. To increase the operational reliability of the brake system, a pressure compensation chamber (18, 28, 28', 28", 39, 39') with a non-return valve (19, 29, 29', 29", 44, 46) connected upstream and opening toward the pressure compensation chamber is inserted into the pressure medium paths from the pressure compensation reservoir (4', 24, 24', 42) to the auxiliary pressure supply system. The outputs of the outlet valves (AV, AV.sub.1 -AV.sub.4, AV.sub.1 '-AV.sub.4 ') lead into said pressure compensation chamber (18, 28, 28', 28", 39, 39').

    • In a skid-controlled brake system including a diagonal division of the brake circuits (I and II), the wheel brakes (31 to 34), through main brake lines (62, 63) and branch lines (47 to 50), are in communication with the master cylinder (2) of the brake pressure generator (1), with inlet valves (24, 25 and 29, 30, respectively), open in de-energized position, being provided in the branch lines. Moreover, in-flow lines (45, 46) provided with check valves (38, 39) are couupled to the main brake lines (62, 63), through which, in the event of a locking tendency of the vehicle wheels, pressure fluid is delivered by two hydropumps (21, 26) into the brake circuits (I, II) causing the pistons (6, 7) of the master cylinder (2) to be restored against the pedal force (F) and the central control valves (10, 11) located in pistons (6, 7) to be opened thereby enabling pressure fluid to flow off into the tank (20). The wheel brakes ( 31 to 34), through outlet valves (22, 23 and 35, 36, respectively), closed in de-energized condition, are in communication with a return line (37) also connected to which is the intake line (61) of the two pumps (21, 26).
