The tuning device may also include a cord or strap for carrying the device and a cap fitting over the wax for keeping other surfaces from coming in direct contact with the wax while carrying and storing the device. The wax cap may also be used to form new wax on the tuning device. The tuning device allows for the application of wax to the base surface of all types of skis and snowboards. The wax is first applied to the base surface of the ski or snowboard, filling in scratches and gouges on the base surface. The excess wax is then scraped off using the scraper. The base surface of the ski or snowboard where the wax was applied is then polished using the buffer.

    • The present invention relates to using a potentially trap-rich layer, such as a polycrystalline Silicon layer, over a passivation region of a semiconductor substrate or a Silicon-on-insulator (SOI) device layer to substantially immobilize a surface conduction layer at the surface of the semiconductor substrate or SOI device layer at radio frequency (RF) frequencies. The potentially trap-rich layer may have a high density of traps that trap carriers from the surface conduction layer. The average release time from the traps may be longer than the period of any present RF signals, thereby effectively immobilizing the surface conduction layer, which may substantially prevent capacitance and inductance changes due to the RF signals. Therefore, harmonic distortion of the RF signals may be significantly reduced or eliminated. The semiconductor substrate may be a Silicon substrate, a Gallium Arsenide substrate, or another substrate.

    • The present invention relates to a semiconductor device having an integrated metal shield. The shield, created as part of a MOSFET, is formed about a gate electrode of the MOSFET to effectively reduce drain-to-gate capacitance and increase breakdown voltage. The shield consists of a metallic shield contact via and a source contact extension. The metallic shield contact via, formed between the gate electrode and a drain region of the MOSFET, may be either a series of closely spaced vias or a wide continuous via. The metallic shield contact via is isolated from the surface of a semiconductor wafer by a shield isolation layer at one end. The metallic shield contact via is electrically coupled to the source contact extension at the other end. The source contact extension is metallic, and may be formed from the same metal used to create a source contact and a drain contact for the MOSFET.

    • An electronic device for the sealing of shipping containers is accessible through an RFID system controlled by a microprocessor having an internal memory. The device consists of a small case with a tamper and spoof proof security cable. One end of the cable is permanently attached to the case while the other end is threaded across the center door joint and around the two inner vertical locking rods of the container. The loose end is then inserted and locked into a port on the case, thereby activating the microprocessor. Attempts to access or enter the container through the rear doors will result in severing the cable, causing the time of this event to be logged in the memory of the electronic seal device. A separate electronic reader will access the logged memory of the device, and then transmit the logged data to a central database. The device has a unique and invariant electronic identification number that will be transmitted to a reader on demand. In addition, the case will have that same number embossed on the case cover as well as a printed bar code. The device also contains a real time clock that is activated at the time of initial activation.

The invention economizes on keystrokes and cursor actions, since the whole region of text desired to be highlighted does not have to be rebuilt every time a change is made. The invention also enables a user to select text by moving a cursor from left to right and top to bottom, and to deselect text by moving a cursor from right to left and bottom to top.
