    • A back-rest hinge for a vehicle seat that has a seat support and a back-rest. The back-rest hinge has a swivel joint operatively interconnecting the seat support and the back-rest for variable inclination of the back-rest relative to the seat support. A locking mechanism permits adjusting an angle of inclination of the back-rest in relation to the seat support. A locking lever is hinged to the back-rest at a hinge point spaced from the swivel joint along a lengthwise direction of the back-rest. The locking lever has a locking portion which extends from the hinge point in a direction of the seat support that intersects a front edge of this seat support. The locking mechanism includes an interlock mechanism on the seat support, which interacts with the locking portion, and an activation device. The interlock mechanism is positionable between one position in which it is cooperatively engaged with the locking portion and another position in which it is disengaged from the locking portion. The activation device can releasably retain the interlock mechanism in the one position. The back-rest hinge further has an adjustment device disposed between the swivel joint and one of the back-rest and the seat support. This adjustment device has a direction of adjustment that essentially extends in parallel to the previously-mentioned direction of the seat support.

    • A lockable guide assembly for adjustable vehicle seats comprising a pair of parallel guided rails attached to the vehicle seat; a pair of parallel guiding rails slidably arranged with respect to the guided rails and attached to the vehicle floor. Each of the rails is formed with a high-webbed U-shaped cross-section with inner and outer arms substantially overlapping with the arms of the U-shaped section of the other rail, the height of each section being about twice its width. The inner arm on each rail extends into the U-shaped portion of the other rail occupying nearly the full depth of the U-shaped portion leaving only a small gap between the free end of the inner arm and the inside surface of the U-shaped portion of the outer arm. The outer arms are wider or deeper than the inner arms and extending beyond the depths of the inner arms, and the outer circumference of the U-shaped portion of the guided rails is straddled by the arms of the guiding rail.

    • A length adjustable steering column module for a motor vehicle has a support beam attachable to the motor vehicle. The module includes a steering column rotatable about a longitudinal axis, and has an upper and a lower steering tube. The upper steering tube is displaceable in the direction of the longitudinal axis and is non-rotatably connected to the lower steering tube. An adjusting device adjusts the distance of the upper steering tube from the lower steering tube. A jacket tube has an annular area, a crash member, and an upper and a lower end portion, the upper end portion grasps around the upper steering tube, and axially fixes and rotatably supports the upper steering tube. A central bearing is disposed between the annular area and the upper steering tube. The crash member, located between the central bearing and the lower end portion, shortens in the event of an accident.

    • The forwardly movable motor vehicle seat has a seat back (20) and a seat frame with a seat pan. The motor vehicle seat may be moved between a normal position of utilization and a forwardly moved position. An immobilizing device is associated with the seat frame. In particular, the seat back (20) has a seat back hinge (32) and a stopper device (40). The stopper device (40) retains the seat back (20) in the forward tilted position as long as the seat frame is located in a front portion of the travel path. The stopper device (40) enables said seat back to tilt upward into the normal position of utilization when the seat frame is located in a rear portion (74) of the travel path. The stopper device (40) has a first limit stop and a second limit stop, one limit stop being disposed on the seat frame and the other one on the seat back (20).
