摘要： Systems and methods for using a wireless sensor in conjunction with a host controller are described. An illustrative system can include a host controller, a wireless sensor device, and a decoder in communication with the wireless sensor device and the host controller. The host controller may include a remote sensor input that normally would be connected to a wired remote sensor having an expected sensor characteristic. The decoder may receive a wireless signal from the wireless sensor device, and may provide an output signal to the remote sensor input of the host controller that replicate or mimic signals that would be provided by a wired remote sensor having the expected sensor characteristic.

摘要： An optical character reader for conversion of information to a machine readable code from a strip of alpha-numeric characters on the face of a document. It includes an elongated document slot along which the document may be hand guided through a predetermined path. Optical viewing means is provided across a scan line intersecting the path of the alpha-numeric characters. A character scanning assembly electronically generates images of each character. Recognition processing means encodes these images into a machine readable code. All of the physical, optical and electronic components are contained within a compact single enclosure.

摘要： In an encrypted wireless system, when a wireless node detects that it is having problems, it may be programmed to transmit one or more diagnostic messages without encryption, or with reduced encryption. The transmitted diagnostic messages may be received and interpreted by a technician troubleshooting the system. Once the technician troubleshoots and repairs the system, the affected wireless node may detect that it is operating normally, and may cease transmitting the unencrypted, or reduced-encryption, diagnostic messages. In most cases, the wireless system does not need any particular input to initiate the unencrypted, or reduced-encryption, diagnostic message transmissions.

A measuring circuit connected to the output of the system may determine a value which is of the fixed value resistor divided by the duty cycle of the pulse train effectively controlling the connection of the resistor to ground. One or more additional circuits may be connected in parallel to achieve greater accuracy.

摘要： An assessment of sleep quality and sleep disordered breathing is determined from the cardiopulmonary coupling between two physiological data series. In an embodiment, an R-R interval series is derived from an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. The normal beats from the R-R interval series are extracted to produce a normal-to-normal (NN) interval series. The amplitude variations in the QRS complex are used to extract to a surrogate respiration signal (i.e., ECG-derived respiration (EDR)) that is associated with the NN interval series. The two series are corrected to remove outliers, and resampled. The cross-spectral power and coherence of the two resampled signals are calculated over a plurality of coherence windows. For each coherence window, the product of the coherence and cross-spectral power is used to calculate coherent cross power. Using the appropriate thresholds for the coherent cross power, the proportion of sleep spent in CAP, non-CAP, and wake and/or REM are determined.
