    • A wavefront-division type optical integrator capable of setting an interval between an incoming surface and an outgoing surface to an arbitrary value without generating aberration or lowering the reflectance at a reflection film. The optical integrator includes a plurality of first collection elements (first concave reflecting mirror element (18a)) arranged in parallel, a plurality of second collection elements (second concave reflecting mirror elements (20a)) arranged in parallel corresponding to the first collection elements, and a relay optical system (19) arranged in an optical path between the first collection elements and the second collection elements. The relay optical system again collects the light collected via one of the first collection elements on or in the vicinity of the corresponding second collection element so that one of the first collection elements and one of the second collection elements have an image formation relationship corresponding by 1:1.
