    • PURPOSE: Disclosed is a transmission for a tractor, the length of which in the longitudinal direction is short. CONSTITUTION: A transmission for tractor is provided with a main transmission through which shift to a plurality of steps is enabled by engagement of gear rows provided on a shaft disposed on two shaft centers in parallel with each other. The transmission is further provided with a shuttle transmission added to the main transmission and having the same number of steps for forward movement and backward movement. Power transmission between the main transmission and the shuttle transmission is performed such that power for forward movement is transmitted via the shaft on either one of the two shaft centers, and power for backward movement is transmitted via the shaft on the other shaft center.

    • A transmission of a tractor is provided to simplify the structure and save the cost in mounting a forward/backward motion converter between an engine and a transmission. A transmission of a tractor comprises an engine and a forward/backward motion converter(12). The forward/backward motion converter converts rotational direction of between transmissions for transmitting power from the engine to a driving wheel. The forward/backward motion converter comprises an advancing high-speed clutch(27), an advancing low-speed clutch(31), and a backing clutch(29). The advancing high-speed clutch converts power transmitted from the engine to a high-speed advancing side, the advancing low-speed clutch to a low-speed advancing side, and the backing clutch to a backing side. The transmission further comprises a hydraulic clutch operated by supplying hydraulic fluid to the clutches.
