    • A reciprocating engine (10) operating on the two stroke cycle, comprising a pair of stationary and substantially concentrically aligned mutually opposed pistons (13, 15) and a sleeve (11) adapted to reciprocate about these static pistons. The reciprocating sleeve (11) defining two cavities, each cavity being operatively connected to one of the pistons to define a chamber. The first chamber being a pre-charge chamber (21) and having at least one inlet port (25), and the second chamber being a combustion chamber (19) and having at least one outlet port (35), the two chambers being separated by a pressure operated transfer valve (23). The reciprocating motion of the sleeve (11) can be converted into rotary motion.

    • PURPOSE: An engine system is provided to improve output and reduce the volume of an intercooler by efficiently absorbing air using vaporization latent heat. CONSTITUTION: An engine system comprises an engine(116), an intake pipe(124), an exhaust pipe(126), a fuel supply pipe(315), a liquefied gas reservoir(310) and an intake air flow part. The engine consumes fuel generates kinetic energy. The intake pipe communicates with the engine. The exhaust pipe communicates with the engine. The liquefied gas reservoir communicates with the intake pipe and supplies the fuel to the engine. The fuel supply pipe connects the liquefied gas reservoir and the intake pipe. The intake air flow part is connected to the fuel supply pipe and the intake pipe. The intake air flow part is arranged to be adjacent to the liquefied gas flow part.
