    • A surgical stapling apparatus having an electroactive polymer actuated single lockout mechanism for prevention of firing is provided to prevent the surgical stapling and cutting apparatus from being fired when the staple cartridge is not installed or empty. A surgical stapling apparatus having an electroactive polymer actuated single lockout mechanism for prevention of firing includes a handle part(20), a long shaft(23), a firing trigger(28), an end effecter(12), a controlling circuit, and an electric lockout mechanism. The handle part is formed to operate for generating the firing movement. The long shaft is coupled with the handle part. The firing bar perpendicularly moves at the long shaft to deliver the firing movement. The end effecter is attached on the circle of the long shaft, and forms a tool part, and responds to the firing bar to operate the surgery. The controlling circuit is formed to operate to generate the firing signal. The electric lockout mechanism is formed on the tool part by being responded to the firing signal to convert the state between the blocking location and the non-blocking location to the firing trigger.

    • The present invention relates to a surgical stapler for stapling a surgical site during surgical operation, more specifically, to a surgical stapler having double blades, which includes: a staple cartridge accommodating staples on left and right sides of a center of an accommodating part, which is provided on a lower jaw operating by a manipulation of a user, along a longitudinal direction of the accommodating part to staple a biological tissue by staples emerging upward according to a manipulation of the user; and a pair of cutters provided parallel to each other at a rear end of a staple cartridge body to cut as well as collect a biological tissue disposed between an upper jaw and the lower jaw while advancing along the staple cartridge body, wherein a designated part is stapled during an operation and the part that is being stapled is cut and a part of the biological tissue is collected right away so that a rapid frozen section examination, which determines whether a cancer cell or other abnormal cell is present from the collected biological tissue, is performed during the operation.
