When installing the contact probe 30 having a magnetized central contact 31 on the coaxial connector 1, the movable permanent magnet 5 separates from the contact part 16 by both magnetic forces, and a signal passage is switched.

The lever 33 is connected to engagement assisting means 33, 36 interlocked with grip operation to the lever 33 to get the charger side connector 2 closer to the vehicle side connector 1 relatively to displace it till a complete engagement condition is obtained for assisting engagement of both connectors 1, 2 with each other, so by gripping and operating the lever 33 with the grip shaft 32, both connectors 1, 2 are brought closer to each other by the engagement assisting means 33, 36 for assisting engagement operation. At the timing when the lever is gripped completely, both connectors 1, 2 are brought into the complete engagement condition.

CONSTITUTION:Upon gripping a lever provided for a power supply side connector 2, the connector 2 is fitted intimately to a vehicle side connector 1 by means of a stay linked with the lever. A slide switch for a charging circuit in the power supply side connector 2 is normally disabled by means of a stopper plane provided for the lever and enabled when the connectors are fitted tightly. Upon turn ON of a microswitch 44 interlocked with the slide switch, a relay 90 in a charger 74 is closed to enable conduction of charging current from power supply to a battery.
