摘要： PURPOSE: To make selection and rotational control of looper using a simple configuration by furnishing a lock mechanism which can lock a looper so as to be incapable of rotating at a specified timing with a follower gear capable of meshing with a drive gear and a slidable looper support. CONSTITUTION: A stopper pin 49 slipps off from a fit hole, and a looper support 13 is put in a condition as slidable, and all loopers 17 of the looper support 13 are put in the lower position, and the loopers 17 are made out of rotatability through engagement of each follower gear 19 with a locational pin 27. In this condition, a pulse motor 20 is driven, and the looper support 13 is slid by the meshing of the drive gear 22 with corresponding follower gear 19 so that selection of looper 17 is performed. After the end of the selecting motion, the follower gear 19 of the desired looper 17 is positioned as right confronting the drive gear 22 and is set off from the locational pin 27 of the follower gear 19, and looper rotation is controlled by actuating the pulse motor 20, and thus the specified loop sewing is conducted.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the times of work for replacing a lower thread bobbin, and to improve the efficiency of sewing-work by a sewing machine, by a method wherein while a lower thread bobbin case for holding a large-sized lower thread bobbin is being turned at the peripheral part of a needle location, a loop in the needle thread spread is drawn and the lower thread bobbin case is passed through the inside of the loop. CONSTITUTION:When a needle 5 is lowered downward, a small-sized loop formed of a needle thread 6 near the point of the needle is first hooked by a split end part between antlered members 2 for spreading the loot in the needle thread. After that, with the rotation of these antlered members 2, the loop is spread in a large-sized loop in the form hooked between the top end parts of these antlered members 2. For a lower thread bobbin case 1, its axial length is made long, and a large-sized lower thread bobbin 21 increasing the amount of a lower thread is held in the case 1. While the lower thread bobbin case 1 held is being turned with the rotation of a bobbin case-holding device 3, the top part thereof is rushed into the loop in the needle thread spread, following which while the loop in the needle thread is being properly drawn in the direction of the main body of the lower thread bobbin case 1, the whole of the lower thread bobbin case 1 is formed so as to be passed through the inside of the loop in the needle thread.
