    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a looper selection structure suitable for carrying out chain stitch with multicolor threads to a cylindrical workpiece by improving a moving structure for selecting one of a plurality of loopers.
      SOLUTION: The looper part (5) arranged under a needle plate (8) is obtained by arranging a plurality of loopers (18) along a curved moving path, and comprises moving mechanisms (13, 17, 19 and 28) for selectively positioning one of the loopers (18) at a prescribed needle dropping position by moving the plurality of loopers (18) along the curved moving path. Chain stitch is carried out by cooperation between a hook needle (4) to be reciprocated and the looper (18). Regarding the looper part (5), one end including the needle dropping position projects, and the cylindrical workpiece can be put in and out from the one end. The curved moving path has a U-shape.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of skip stitch failure by closely contacting up and down two sewing threads positioned in the upside of a thread handier when halfway parts of the two sewing threads linked between cloth and a louver are collected by a thread handler and withdrawing them from the reciprocating passage of the needle. SOLUTION: When the sewing needle is descending, this thread handier 10 to move for-/back-ward in the A-B direction shown by the arrow mark proceeds to the A-direction to hang and draw halfway parts of a two threads (loop parts) 5a, 5b linked between cloth and a louver 4 toward the side of the descending position of a sewing needle 1 and, when the sewing needle is ascending, the thread handier 10 recedes. The string handier part 11 is formed opening in an almost V-shape in the direction to collect the sewing thread 5a, 5b on the tip end part of the sewing needle 1 and a sewing thread inserting part 12 is formed on the central part of the thread collector 11. Skip stitch failure by proceeding the sewing needle 1 in between the sewing threads 5a, and 5b is prevented by bringing the halfway parts of the sewing threads 5a, 5b into a close contact condition.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the horizontal shuttle of a sewing machine requiring no opener. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal shuttle is provided with an outer shuttle having a tip and rotatively driven in the preset direction and an inner shuttle 60 storing a bobbin 10 wound with a bobbin thread, relatively movably coupled with the outer shuttle 2, and having an inner shuttle stop 3 rockably coupled at the preset angle between a pair of stoppers 9a, 9b formed on a needle plate 8 and blocking the co-rotation with the outer shuttle 2. The inner shuttle 60 is provided with a needle thread pad 61 temporarily hooking a needle thread 50 near the inner shuttle stop 3 on the rotation direction side of the co-rotation with the outer shuttle 2 so that the inner shuttle 60 is rocked in the opposite direction to the rotation direction of the outer shuttle 2 by the tension of the needle thread 50 when the ring of the needle thread 50 captured by the tip passes through the inner shuttle 60. No opener mechanism is required, and the shock sound can be reduced.
