摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily materialize geometry of a throughflow limiter without impairing pressure resistance properties in a pressure compensation region of a closure bolt.SOLUTION: A closure bolt 5 for an injector of a modular common-rail fuel injection system includes at least one high-pressure connection part 20 for high-pressure fuel and a bolt-like portion 4 which is configured to be inserted into an opening 3 of the injector and which has a first, particularly conical, sealing surface 6 for closing the opening 3 in a high-pressure-tight manner. The bolt-like portion 4 has a high-pressure bore 11 which is hydraulically connected to the high-pressure connection part 20 and which is in communication with the injector. The closure bolt further includes a throughflow limiter 16 configured to limit the flow rate of fuel delivered into the injector. The bolt-like portion 4 has an insert 24 in which the throughflow limiter 16 is formed and which bears the first sealing surface 6.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for attenuating fuel pump vibration propagation in a direct injection internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A fuel injector directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an engine block is supported by being suspended from a fuel rail in a fashion that avoids direct metal-to-metal contact with the engine block. The fuel injector is connected to the fuel rail by a pair of spaced-apart seals to offset force in the opposite direction in a longitudinal direction acting on the fuel injector during operation. A large-diameter fuel reservoir and/or a small-diameter orifice are provided fluidly in series between the fuel pump and the fuel injector to thereby absorb and reduce vibration resulting from fuel pump pulsation.

The fuel lance (2) comprises a tubular member (4) arranged to be received, in use, within the passage (32) and having a first end (8) being shaped for cooperation with a seating surface (22) of the fuel injector (20), and a second end (10) being shaped for cooperation with the connection arrangement (40), and having a bore (6) therethrough to define a fuel flow path between the first end (8) and the second end (10) of the fuel lance (2); and wherein the length of the fuel lance (2) is shorter than the length of the passage (32) of the cylinder head (30) such that, in use, the fuel lance (2) can be fully received within the passage (32), and wherein the tubular member (4) of the fuel lance (2) has a constant external diameter.
