    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfy both of restraining a drive shaft and a hub shaft of a hub wheel from being connected together while tooth flanks of a side face spline are improperly meshed with each other and restraining looseness upon meshing by facilitating securing of an area for meshing the tooth flanks of the side face spline.SOLUTION: A first side face spline 28 of a hub shaft and a second side face spline 78 of a constant velocity coupling have tooth tips 284 and 784 formed from tooth-tip sloping faces 285 and 785 sloping from tooth side faces 282 and 782 composing tooth crests 283 and 783. Inner angles 286 and 786 of the tooth-tip sloping faces are formed to be less than 180 degree. A vertical distance X of the tooth tip side being a vertical distance between a virtual intersection point A of the tooth tips and a first virtual planar face C, is longer than vertical distance Y at a bottom side being vertical distance between a virtual intersection point D of the bottoms and a second virtual planar face F.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel support device provided with a spline structure capable of securing torque transmittable equally as before while forming splines on a partial area in the end surfaces in the axial direction of a hub unit and a joint.SOLUTION: A rotating wheel 12 of a hub unit 10 has an annular end surface 25 at one side in the axial direction and a tapered outer circumferential surface of which diameter is enlarged toward the other side in the axial direction on the outside region in the radial direction of the end surface 25. Outer wheel 33 of a joint 30 has an annular end surface 38 at the other side in the axial direction and has a tapered inner circumferential surface of which diameter is enlarged toward the other side in the axial direction and which faces the tapered outer circumferential surface on the outside region in the radial direction of the end surface 38. Splines 26, 39 that mesh with each other are formed on these tapered outer circumferential surface and the tapered inner circumferential surface respectively.
