    • PURPOSE:To economize in car fuel consumption as well as to improve drivability, by using an energy regenerating device which combines a torque transmission unit by electrical control and an energy storage member together. CONSTITUTION:In this heat engine body 1, each belt 5 is rolled on a pulley 2 transmitting kinetic energy out of a car and a pulley 3 of a solenoid valve 4 as a torque transmission unit. Torque to be transmitted out of an output shaft 43, which receives rotation from the heat engine 1, is stored as elastic energy in an energy storage part 8 via a transmission 6 and a reverser 7. The storage part 8 consists of an elastic body 81 and a ball screw 82, of which the elastic body 81 receives its expansion action, thus energy is stored. If the energy is collected there, the reverser is operated, discharging the energy as the elastic body 81 is restored to its original form, whereby torque is transmissible to the engine 1 by way of an output shaft 43 to an input shaft 41 and discharge regulation is carried out by a brake 49.
