    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which a transcription object can be transcribed from a carrying-body onto a transcribing medium and the carrying body can be continuously peeled efficiently from the transcribing medium after the transcription.SOLUTION: A blanket BL for carrying a pattern is supported by a plurality of hand pairs 301-306 that can be elevated independently from each other. A substrate SB on which the pattern is transcribed is adsorbed and retained to a lower surface of an upper stage 71. With the blanket BL being pushed up by a transcription roller 501 to contact the substrate SB, the transcription roller 501 is moved in a Y direction. At a front side (a downstream side in a moving direction) of the transcription roller 501 the hand pairs are sequentially lowered as the transcription roller 501 approaches, and at a rear side (an upstream side in the moving direction) of the transcription roller 501 the hand pairs are contacted again with the blanket BL, and then the hand pairs are lowered while adsorbing and retaining the blanket BL so as to peel the blanket BL from the substrate SB.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce transfer failure due to temperature change of a transfer film and to reduce thermal damage on the transfer film by performing pre-heating before transferring on a recording medium with a cheap construction.SOLUTION: In a transfer device, a transfer film 46 and recording medium K are sandwiched with a transfer roller 33 and transfer platen 31 so as to form an image on a recording medium. The recording medium K is subjected to pre-heating treatment with heat provide by the transfer roller 33 before the transferring treatment. In a case where the pre-heating treatment is performed with transfer roller 33, the transfer film 46 lies between the transfer roller 33 and the recording medium K. On the other hand, by transporting the position of the transfer film 46 upon the pre-heating treatment, thermal damage on the transfer film 46 is suppressed since it is avoided that excessive heat from the transfer roller 33 is provided on a part of transfer film.
