SOLUTION: The crosshead type two-stroke diesel engine has a base plate 2 and the weld engine frame 9. The engine frame has a top plate 11 under which a cylinder liner 12 is put. The engine frame is provided with side stiffening members 13. Each crosshead 8 has four guide faces 14. Two of the four guide faces 14 are attached to the side stiffening member 13 of a side of the corresponding crosshead 8. Other two of the four guide faces are attached to the side stiffening member 13 of the other side in longitudinal direction of the corresponding crosshead 8. Upper parts 16 of the guide faces 14 supported by the side stiffening members 13 longitudinally opposed to each other are mutually connected.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stroke diesel engine which has simple constitution of the hydraulic operation of a fuel injection valve and an exhaust valve, and reasonable mode of operation.
SOLUTION: A proportional valve 21 which is common to a hydraulic unit 13 and an injection pump 14 is mounted, and the proportional valve 21 has one inlet port 22 connected to a pressure medium source 18 and two outlet ports 23, 24 connected to the hydraulic unit 13 and the injection pump 14. These outlet ports 23, 24 are alternately connected to the inlet port 22 at a terminal region of reciprocating motion of a slide valve 26, and closed at the intermediate position of the slide valve 26. The slide valve 26 can be moved at the speed depending on the signal by using a servo device 28 which is influenced by a signal converter 27 equipped with an input part 32 for at least one signal of the motor.
