    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress quenching due to frictional heat incident to the movement of a superconducting wound body by a structure wherein a coolant passage is made in a fixing metal on the radial inner side viewed from the superconducting wound body side by notching the surface part touching a superconducting wire and a coolant passage is made in a fixing metal on the radial outer side by leaving the surface part touching the superconducting wire. SOLUTION: A wound body of superconducting wire 1 is secured integrally by an impregnated resin 2 and a helium passage 4a is made in a fixing metal 4 on the radial outer side viewed from the wound body while leaving the surface part touching the superconducting wire. A helium passage 6a is made in a fixing metal 6 on the radial inner side viewed from the wound body while notching the surface part touching the superconducting wire. The helium passage 4a in the fixing metal 4 is circular and the helium passage 6a in the fixing metal 6, is formed by notching the side wall touching the superconducting wire 1. Number of the helium passages 6a is larger than that of the helium passages 4a and thereby the area of helium passages 6a is significantly larger than that of the helium passages 4a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotary electric machine which enables adjustable-speed operation in a wide range from a low speed to a high speed in a high output, and realizes efficiency enhancement and reliability enhancement.SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotary electric machine of the present invention comprises: a stator provided with a coil; and a rotor where arranged are a permanent magnet of a low coercive force to the extent that flux density changes irreversibly by a magnetic field made from a current of said stator coil and a permanent magnet of a high coercive force having more than twice as much coercive force as said low coercive force. In a high-speed rotation range which becomes not less than the maximum voltage of a source voltage, the whole amount of flux linkages is adjusted by making a permanent magnet having the low coercive force magnetized by a magnetic field due to the current so that all the flux linkages due to the permanent magnet having the low coercive force and the permanent magnet having the high coercive force may decrease.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily detect short-circuiting in the core steel plate of a rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: Multiple laminated steel plates 3 provided with a slot 6 for housing an armature coil are laminated in the axial direction to form a stator core 1.
