    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for a sheet of waste material which has a relatively simple structure and cuts a sheet of metal waste material into small pieces and is excellent in maintainability, and also provide a cutting method used for the same. SOLUTION: The cutting part 16 of the cutting device for cutting the sheet of waste material 14a is provided with a cutter roller 21 having blades 24 for slit which extend circumferentially and a plurality of blades 25 for shear which extend in a direction orthogonal to the circumference in the outer periphery and a cutter receiving roller 22 for receiving the blades 24, 25 of the cutter roller 21. The cutter roller 21 is rotated in an arrow direction D by a driving mechanism and is pressed to the cutter receiving roller 22 by a pressing means. The blades 24 for slit and blades 25 for shear pushingly cut off the sheet shaped waste material 14a and discharge it as small piece of chip waste materials 18 by passing the sheet shaped waste material 14a between the cutter roller 21 and the cutter receiving roller 22.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture thinner core strips by laminating and assembling stator laminated cores and rotor laminated cores for a rotary electric machine, without causing product performance to deteriorate.
      SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of the core strips includes processes of: uncoiling a coil 20 of a band type magnetic steel plate which is a material of the core strips 5, and feeding out the material steel plate at a predetermined speed; cutting out the core strips; and accumulating the core strips thus cut out in an accumulation box. In the process of cutting out the core strips, a cutter roller 26 and a receiving roller 27 are arranged facing the peripheral surfaces and confronting each other, wherein the cutter roller is a cylindrical type, and a convex-type cutting edge which fits to a shape of the core strips to be manufactured is formed on its outer peripheral surface, while the receiving roller is a cylindrical type and has a smooth outer peripheral surface. The material steel plate fed out between the both rollers is held therebetween, while being made to synchronously rotate in the direction opposite to each other, and the material steel plate is pressed and cut by the convex-type cutting edge between the convex type cutting edge of the cutter roller and the outer peripheral surface of the receiving roller, and then the core strips of the shape corresponding to the shape of the convex-type cutting edge is cut out.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet rotor capable of improving total torque even if an increase in cost is suppressed as much as possible.
      SOLUTION: The permanent magnet rotor 1 includes a rotor core 2 constituted by laminating silicon steel plates as many annular core materials. A plurality of magnet insertion holes 3 with an outer peripheral side opened are formed on the outer periphery of the rotary core 2 at a specified interval, allowing, for example, ferrite magnets 4 formed into an arcuate shape as a permanent magnet to be inserted thereinto to be fixed with an adhesive agent or the like. Furthermore, in the rotor 1, the portion where the ferrite magnets 4 are arranged is a magnetic recess (q axis) 1a where a flux is difficult to pass, and the core position between the ferrite magnets 4, 4 is a magnetic protrusion (d axis) 1b where the flux is easy to pass, wherein the magnetic recess 1a and the magnetic protrusion 1b are alternately formed in the peripheral direction at a specified interval. Consequently, when current is made to flow in a stator winding, the total torque combining a reluctance torque and a magnetic torque causes the rotor 1 to rotate.
