    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily detect short-circuiting in the core steel plate of a rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: Multiple laminated steel plates 3 provided with a slot 6 for housing an armature coil are laminated in the axial direction to form a stator core 1. The stator core 1 is integrally fastened with through bolts 8 inserted into multiple through holes 7 provided in predetermined places in the stator core 1 and penetrating the stator core in the axial direction to construct a rotary electric machine. This rotary electric machine is provided with exciting coil installation holes 14 for measuring short-circuiting in the laminated steel plates 3 which penetrate the central part of each through bolt 8. When a short-circuiting portion of the laminated steel plates 3 is measured, a coil 1a for short-circuiting portion measurement is inserted into an exciting coil installation hole 14 and the coil 1a is wound in series between adjoining through bolts 8.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for a dynamo-electric machine, in which the cross-sectional area of a stator coil is increased, using design redundant portions in a core teeth part by a stator slot shape to enhance the cooling effects on a stator coil and stator core, a loss caused by current is reduced, a generator is reduced in size and is enhanced in efficiency.
      SOLUTION: In the stator for a dynamo-electric machine, where the slot width of a slot part 3A, into which the lower coil 4A of a two-layer winding stator coil 4 is inserted, is widened using the core teeth part 8A on the core outer contour side, which is redundant in electrical design, to increase the cross-sectional area of the stator coil 4 adding the upper and lower coils 4B, 4A to be a reduced energizing resistance, thereby decreasing the heat loss.
