    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backside seal member whose drain lip does not much interfere with a roof side seal member when a rear window is opened or closed in a convertible vehicle. SOLUTION: On the lower end surface of the first terminal molding section 11 of the backside seal member attached to ends on both sides of the rear window 1 which can be freely opened and closed, the drain lip 12 is formed downwards between the first terminal molding section 11 and the second terminal molding section 21 of the roof side seal member 20 attached to a roof 2. The drain lip 12 is constituted of a hanging piece 13 sagging from the lower end surface of the first terminal molding section 11 and a receiving piece 14 protruding forward from a lower end 13a of the hanging piece 13. Furthermore, the drain lip 12 is formed so that a front end 14a of the receiving piece 14 is located ahead of a virtual vertical line V passing through a lower end of the second terminal molding section 21 and an opening and closing trajectory T of the front end 14a does not much interfere with the second terminal molding section 21.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, on a convertible or hardtop vehicle which can open and close front-door glass and quarter glass regardless of each other and which can have a weatherstrip to be fitted to the quarter glass for sealing between itself and the front-door glass, the weatherstrip for the quarter glass which can prevent a seal lip at a molded portion at its upper end from being caught in the front-door glass when the quarter glass is closed after the front-door glass is closed. SOLUTION: A protrusion 12 horizontally elevated outward of the vehicle, with its tip protruding laterally from a lip 5, is formed at the upper end portion of the lip 5. The protrusion 12 is curved so as to retreat to the vehicle interior side as an apex 12a of elevation goes to the tip of the protrusion and, when the quarter glass is closed after the front-door glass is closed, the apex 12a of elevation is engaged with an end of the front-door glass and pushed inward as it is to enter the vehicle interior side of the front-door glass 1. When both doors 1, 2 are not in closed conditions, a hollow sealing part 103 of a weather-strip 101 on the body side is separated from the die-molding parts 10A, 10B of a weather-strip 10 for a front door and the weather-strip 20 for the sliding door by moving a flange F to a fixed position. When both doors 1, 2 are closed, the hollow sealing part 103 is brought into elastic contact with the die-molding parts 10A, 10B and the weather-strip 20 for the sliding door by moving the flange F to the outside of the vehicle, thus the fin shape of the weather-strip 20 for the sliding door is brought into intimate contact with the die-molding parts 10A, 10B.       SOLUTION: The weather strip for the motor vehicle is provided with the mounting base part 10 of an approximately U shape cross section fit to the flange part F formed on a body panel of the motor vehicle; and a seal part 20 integrally molded on the mounting base part 10. On the bottom part of the mounting base part 10, the water-stop sponge 30, i.e., a highly foamed sponge formed of EPDM or TPO and having a specific gravity of 0.3 or lower is provided such that a distal end part of the flange part F is resiliently contacted with it.
