    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket capable of preventing intrusion of a combustion gas to a turning-back portion.SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 includes two sheets of gasket substrates 2, 3 provided with full beads 2b, 3b surrounding combustion chamber holes 2a, 3a, an intermediate plate 4 disposed between two sheets of gasket substrates, and a grommet substrate 5 disposed at a cylinder head side or a cylinder block side with respect to the gasket substrate, and having a turning-back portion 5a formed in a state of covering the gasket substrate and a combustion chamber hole 4a of the intermediate plate. An end portion of the turning-back portion 5a of the grommet substrate 5, is disposed at an outer peripheral side with respect to the full beads 3b, a bent portion 5c bent to the gasket substrate 3 side is disposed on the end portion of the turning-back portion 5a, and a tip of the bent portion 5c is brought into contact with the gasket substrate 3 to seal the part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head gasket in which horizontal displacement between an opening-side end portion of a grommet and a gasket substrate is prevented, thereby preventing reduction of a sealing performance in that portion.SOLUTION: A cylinder head gasket 1 comprises a plurality of gasket substrates 11-13 which are laminated mutually, and in the gasket substrates, combustion chamber holes 11a-13a and bolt holes 11b-13b are formed, respectively. A grommet 14 is provided to cover inner edges of all the combustion chamber holes 11a-13a, and opening-side end portions 14a, 14b of the grommet 14 are fixed to the gasket substrates 12 and 13 in contact with the grommet. Thus, even when displacement in a horizontal direction occurs between a cylinder head and a cylinder block, since the opening-side end portions of the grommet are fixed to the gasket substrates, horizontal displacement therebetween can be prevented, thereby maintaining an excellent sealing performance for a long time.

A volume fraction of the reinforcing material in the first upper end 19A is set lower than that of the reinforcing material in the second upper end 19B, and thermal conductivity of a first upper side bore wall 18A is set higher than that of a second bore wall 18B.

The communicating part 45 is provided to the bottom part of the oil separator chamber 19, arranged above and near the oil return port 43, and communicates the oil return groove 41 and the oil separator chamber 19 to each other.
