      SOLUTION: In the Stirling engine, a heater 11, a regenerator 50, and a cooler 60 communicate with each other, the heater 11 communicates with one space of a displacer piston 20, and the cooler 60 communicates with the other space of the displacer piston 20. The Stirling engine comprises a cylinder 70 for covering the outer periphery of the displacer piston 20, and a cylinder head 71 for covering one side of the cylinder 70. Working gas is flowed to one space and the other space by an operation of the displacer piston 20, and through-holes 74 and 75 for inserting into an end of the heater 11 are provided on the cylinder head 71. The cylinder head 71 is provided with a first layer 72 for covering one space, and a second layer 73 for covering the outside of the first layer 72. End sections 11A and 11B communicating with one space of the heater 11 are connected with the first layer 72 by welding or brazing.
