    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a partially stiffened pipe body, which enables a stiffener to be provided only in a part with large bending moment produced in the pipe body, enhances economy by reducing the weight of the pipe body, and facilitates work for making a diameter smaller. SOLUTION: This structure of the partially stiffened pipe body, which is used for a repair and reinforcing construction method for installing steel plate pipe bodies 3 and 4 on an inner surface of an existing tunnel or that of a buried pipe 2, is characterized by partially fixing a circumferential stiffener 5 only to a region with large radial bending moment by welding. Preferably, the stiffener 5, in which an end 5a, in the direction of revolution, of the pipe body is formed in a tapered shape, is fixed to the pipe bodies 3 and 4 by welding, so that the production of concentrated stress can be reduced. Additionally, the pipe bodies 3 and 4 are carried into the existing tunnel 1 and the buried pipe 2 in a state in which a diameter is made smaller, and can also be applied to the case of restoration in an installation place. Next, hydraulic pressure out of a hydraulic hose 8 is fed to a traveling cylinder 70 via a hydraulic valve 50, and a new pipe 3 connected to a new pipe connecting part 90 at the rear end of a pipe expander 80 is drawn into the existing pipe 2 as long as the specified length as expanding a diameter of the existing pipe 2 with a pressing roller of the pipe expander 80. Then, the clamper 20 is released, drawing the pipe as long as the specified length with the traction rope 7, and the above operation is repeated and the new pipe 3 is laid down. Thus, laying replacement work can be done in a highly efficiency manner.
