摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting structure of a lining inner face of an existing tunnel capable of ensuring clearance limit and being quickly constructed. SOLUTION: A protecting material 12 placed along the lining inner face 2a of the existing tunnel 1 is formed by assembling and placing metallic segments 3 using comparatively thin face members of the approximately similar figure as the shape of the lining inner face divided by manufactued in the circumferential and axial directions of the tunnel, respectively having joints, on the lining inner face at intervals, the segments are respectively connected with the adjacent segment 3 by means of a segment joint mounted on a circumferential end and a ring joint mounted on an axial end. These joints are engagement joints without using bolts, a lower end of the lowermost segment 3 is fixed to a concrete wall 2e of the existing tunnel 1 by a fixing means, a grout material 10 is filled in a clearance between each segment back face near at least the ring joint and the lining inner face 2a over the tunnel circumferential direction, and each segment is closely kept into contacted with the lining inner face 2a.

SOLUTION: Arch segments 3 arranged by forming narrow openings 4 on the lining internal surface 1a of the existing tunnel are joined mutually by fitting joints 12 in the axial direction of the tunnel and the arch material 2 is constituted. The lower ends of the arch segments 3 are fixed by using fixing means 7 at the lower end corners of a lining, and each arch segment 3 is held on the lining internal surface 1a by a fast-sticking means such as screw rods 5, grout materials or the like.

When both end parts 6 are buried in the ground after they are bent upward/downward or in the reverse direction, since the wire 4 is not affected by the stress in the direction of elongation or contraction, one can stably bend the pipe body 1 along the wire 4 into the state as desired and hold the pipe body 1 as it is, avoiding the laterial buckling of the wire 2. Accordingly, the strength almost as high as that of the pipe with a closed cross section can be obtained, and the pipe body can easily be bent manually.

The buried pipe is settled up to the bottom of the excavated ditch 1 by discharging the fluid of the bag bodies 4 and the excavated ditch 1 is backfilled after the bag bodies 4 are recovered from the excavated ditch 1.
