      SOLUTION: The pool_floor elevating apparatus is equipped with a drive unit (20), a screw shaft (14-1) to which rotary motion is imparted by the drive unit (20), nuts (12 and 13) which are inserted into the screw shafts (14-1 and 30) so as to make linear motion by virtue of the rotary motion of the screw shaft (14-1), and an elevating mechanism (2) which are joined to the undersurface of the movable floor (1) so as to convert linear motions of the nuts (12 and 13) into ascending/descending motions of making the movable floor (1) ascend/descend. While the rotary motion of the screw shank (14-1) is easily converted into the ascending/descending motion of making the movable floor (1) ascend/descend via the linear motions of the nuts (12 and 13), the screw shaft (14-1) does not make rotary motion even if the force acts on the movable floor (1). Such a structure makes it unnecessary to provide a locking means such as a ratchet so as to support the movable floor (1), and simplifies the structure of the pool_floor elevating apparatus.
