    • PURPOSE:To straighten the defective shape of a straightening material by crowning by having more than 2 pieces of deflector rolls and by making the deflector roll a crowing at the end of a part of the opposite position each other. CONSTITUTION:The roll arrangement is made that each one piece of a deflector roll 10 and 11 is arranged at the inside and outside of a work roll 9 and deflector rolls 10, 11 are arranged at the opposite side to the work roll 9 with pinching a material 1 of which shape is to be straightened. A crowing 10' is subjected to the end of one pat of the deflector roll 10 and crowing 11' is subjected to the end of the deflector roll 11 opposite to that of the deflector roll 10. In case of the material 1 of which shape to be corrected passing through the reflector rolls 10, 11 via the work roll 9, the defective shape of the straightening material 1 is straightened by the crowing 10', 11' provided at the end part.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a material by providing induction heating coils to the runner parts connecting a central sprue and a casting mold and heating the runners so as to prevent a molten metal from solidification in the stage of casting thereby eliminating the defective product to be resulted from solidification of the molten metal in the runners and making the runners smaller. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal B is poured through a central sprue 4B and runners X into casting molds 1B. Induction heating coils Z are embedded in the runners X and the runners X are heated to the temp. equal to the temp. of the molten metal to prevent the molten metal from being cooled in the runners X. The manufacture of a defective product by the solidification of the molten metal B in the runners X is eliminated by such mechanism. Since the runners X can be made small, the yield of the material is improved, the need for exerting pressure to the metal B is eliminated and the cost is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To form easily and quickly a gear without dimensional errors and to reduce cost by heating locally the outside circumferential surface of an annular blank material to a prescribed temp., pressing a toothed punch thereto to deform plastically the blank material and performing said operation at an equal interval over the entire circumference of the blank material. CONSTITUTION:An annular blank material 1 is inserted and fixed to a mandrel 2 having a stopper 4. The outside circumferential surface of the ring is locally heated to a prescribed temp. in a high frequency furnace C and a toothed punch X is pressed thereto to deform plastically the material 1 to a tooth profile. Such operation is executed at an equal interval over the entire circumference of the blank material. Since the material is locally heated, the dimensional error over the entire part is decreased and the material is worked in a short time. The gear may be subjected again to hot punching or be finished by final cold punching in order to improve the accuracy of the tooth profile.

Further, bearings 6 are set between the rolls 3, 4 and 3', 4' to enable the rolls at different speeds respectively thereby preventing the coolant pipe 1 from being scratched.

    • PURPOSE:To work a large sized gear with a small device in a short time by heating the prescribed part on the outside circumference of a cylindrical blank material, and pressing a roll conforming to a tooth profile to the heated part while rotating the same. CONSTITUTION:A ring blank material 1 is fixed by means of a mandrel 2 and a stopper 4 and the part to be worked is heated with a high frequency furnace C, etc. A roll X for rough finishing which is kept rotated is pressed to the heated part to work a piece of tooth. The roll X is then retreated and the mandrel 2 and the material 1 are rotated by one pitch. The heating and the rough finishing by the roll X are repeated. The roll X is exchanged with a roll Y for finishing upon completion of the rough finishing and the similar process is repeated until the working of a large sized gear A is completed. The finer crystal grains are formed in the material in the worked part by such method and the product having excellent strength performance is obtd.

That is, when the inclination angle of the rolls 3, 4 is made smaller than the inclination angle thetaW of the work rolls 1, 2 by angle DELTAtheta, the directions of thrusts FW and FB are made reverse to each other to offset them with each other. Thus, the thrust F to a mechanism for receiving the thrust load is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To perform die forging of a molding having an intricate shape without producing under fill and burrs by forming roughly the top and bottom of a blank material with top and bottom dies, forming roughly the side faces with side dies, and pressing the blank material in a closed state with punches to pack the same in the closed space. CONSTITUTION:A closed forging die is constituted of top and bottom dies 10, 11 which define the shape of the top and bottom surfaces of a molding 1 and plural divided side dies 12, 13, 14, 15 which are positioned between the top and bottom dies and define the shape on the side faces of the molding. The top and bottom surfaces are roughly formed and the side faces are roughly formed, by which the forging die closed with the dies 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 is obtd. The roughly formed material is pressed with punches 16-19 through any of the dies to pack the blank material in the forging die. Thus, the die forging is accomplished.
