    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate to install a cover portion of a fan shroud, which is attached to a radiator, to a fan shroud body, at a time of mounting the radiator on a vehicle body. SOLUTION: This fan shroud 10 comprises a body, an upper portion 12 of a cover, and a lower portion 13 of the cover. Projections 18 are respectively formed at right and left periphery of the body, and lock portions 19 are respectively disposed at upper and lower ends of each of the projections 18. Lock portions 20 are respectively disposed at right and left lower ends of the upper portion 12, and right and left upper ends of the lower portion 13. The lock portions 19 at right and- left- side upper ends of the projections 18 are respectively engaged with the lock portions 20 at right- and left-side lower ends of the upper portion 12. The lock portions 19 at right- and- left- side lower ends of the projections 18 are respectively engaged with the lock portions 20 at right and- left- side upper ends of the lower portion 13. Thereby, the projections 18, the upper portion 12, and lower portion 13 covers whole circumference of an engine cooling fan 15.

    • PURPOSE:To protect a dural mode muffler from external affection, by providing a mechanism for opening and closing a shut-off valve in a space defined by a muffler body provided in an exhaust pipe, a bypass pipe connected at both ends to the muffler body, the shut-off valve for opening and closing the bypass pipe and the bypass passage. CONSTITUTION:In a dual mode muffler in which a bypass pipe 2 branches once from a muffler body 1 provided in an exhaust passage from an engine, and is then connected to the same. A shut-off valve 3 is provided in the bypass pipe 2. This shut-off valve 3 is provided thereto with an opening and closing mechanism for changing the opening and closing conditions of the valve 3. The mechanism 4 is located in a space defined between the bypass pipe 2 and the muffler body 1. That is, the movable part of the mechanism 4 consisting of a cable, a lever, a spring and the like for operating the shut-off valve is located at a position where it is protected by the bypass pipe 2 and the muffler body 1, and accordingly, it is possible to prevent popping stone splashed mud or the like from impinging upon and sticking to the mechanism 4 so as to hinder the operation thereof. Thus, it is possible to provide a structure which can be hardly subjected to external affection, thereby it is possible to enhance the reliability and durability.
