    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly turn a steel strip coil without damaging by installing an extension and contraction means providing a clamp to engage at a leg of a bar like skid and to extend and contract the bar like skid itself in a proper length to the external diameter of the steel strip coil. SOLUTION: A supporting member 10 of a coil 1 composed of two faces being a right angle mutually and a turning cylinder 7 of the supporting member 10 are as same as the conventional turning device. However, a bar like skid 2 has a mechanism to extend and contract the length, for example, a structure like a slidable double tube joint and a leg of the bar like skid 2 is engaged to a position adjusting cylinder 5 with an adjusting clamp 9. Accordingly, in the bar like skid 2, the length is able to extend and contract and the central position is able to be adjusted at the central part of the coil 1. As a result, the skid size adjusting working in the turning working of the coil 1 can be executed in a short time without requiring the labor of a worker.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent loosening in coiling by completing coiling with a specific value in the deceleration for coiling after cutting a steel strip immediately before a coiler. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip 1 is coiled by a coiler 4 provided on the exit side of continuous processing equipment 3. The tension of the steel strip 1 is controlled by a plied roll 6 at the time of coiling. When the steel strip 1 is cut by a shear 5, the cutting signal is detected by a shear operation detector 9 and inputted in a control mode switch 13 and a reference speed calculation circuit 17. A contact point (b) is switched to a contact point (a) in the switch 13, and an automatic speed control circuit 12 is activated. Deceleration A is calculated by an arithmetic circuit 17. The A is the value of the formula; where, A (m/s ), (r); coil radius at cutting point in time, k, b , b , b ; constants depending on the kind of steel strip. The revolution of a driving motor 7 is controlled by the automatic speed control circuit 12 so that the deceleration becomes A or below. When the deceleration is A or below, loosening is not caused on account of a relation between the moment of inertia of the steel strip 1 and a frictional force between steel strips 1.
