    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber for a vehicle efficiently absorbing collision energy regardless of a collision position of an obstacle and capable of further realizing light weight by simplifying a structure.
      SOLUTION: The shock absorber 4 provided at a front part of a vehicle body base frame 1 of the vehicle has a shape curved convex frontwise side in a traveling direction. The shock absorber is provided with a shock absorbing plate 5 for absorbing energy when the obstacle collides through an obstacle-removing plate 3; impact absorbing materials 6 mounted to inner side surfaces of both sides of the shock absorbing plate 5 respectively and absorbing the collision energy transmitted from the shock absorbing plate 5; and a support member 7 mounted to a portion 6c so as to restrict displacement of the part 6c opposite to the shock absorbing plate 5 side of the respective impact absorbing materials 6.

      SOLUTION: In a stainless steel semi-monocoque vehicle body structure in which side beams and transverse beams of an underframe are members of a U-shaped section (members of hat-shaped section), The position of the transverse beams of the underframe is agreed with the position of lower ends of a side column 12 of a side structure and an entrance column 13, and these members are connected to each other. The position of a rafter 3 of a roof structure is agreed with the position of upper ends of the side column 12 and the entrance column 13, and these members are connected to each other. The front support member 5 has shock-absorbing function and an inner side at an approximately intermediate position in a longitudinal direction of the respective linear side plates 41 at both sides is supported on a rear support member 6 through a shock-absorbing support material 8 arranged parallel to the linear side plates 41 respectively.
