    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control type auto lever device in which functions of a speed change system of an SBW system are diversified, the applicability can be largely expanded, and on/off operations of the engine start of a PIC system can be more conveniently executed.SOLUTION: Speed change mode control signals corresponding to P (parking)-R (reverse)-N(neutral)-D(drive) that are arranged in sequence from forward to backward are generated by movement of an auto lever along the gate pattern provided long in the back and forth direction of the vehicle in parallel to the traveling direction of the vehicle. Other mode control signals are generated by a position movement of the auto lever corresponding to the section further backward of D (drive) position. In the section further forward of the P (parking) position of the auto lever, the electrical signals generated by at least two or more mutually different operations are sent to the PIC system.
