    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the productivity of a vehicle body frame, and to reduce weight and cost.
      SOLUTION: On a main frame 12 of the vehicle body frame, a head pipe 14, one main frame portion 74 extended backward from the head pipe 14, and a rear frame 23 extended generally downward from a rear portion of the main frame portion 74 are provided. A pivot shaft is inserted in a pivot supporting portion 116 provided on the rear frame 23, and a swing arm is attached to the pivot shaft so as to vertically swing. A rear cushion unit is laid between the swing arm and the vehicle body frame side. The main frame 12 is made by casting aluminum alloy. The rear frame 23 on an upper side and a lower side of the pivot supporting portion 116 is projected out to both sides of a vehicle rather than the pivot supporting portion 116 so as to attach right and left brackets supporting both end portions of the pivot shaft.

The main frame 12 constituting the car body frame 11 is constituted by two front and rear parts of aluminum alloy cast, i.e. a front side front frame 71 and a rear side rear frame 23, a small sectional part 74a of the smallest cross sectional area is arranged at a substantially central part of a longitudinal direction of the main frame 74 and then the two front and rear parts are connected at a place rearward of the small sectional part 74a.
