    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defect of conveyance causing clogging, etc., of a conveying pathway in a pyrolyzing apparatus for pyrolyzing waste products, separating a residue after pyrolysis from a pyrolyzed gas and conveying the residue after pyrolysis.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for pyrolyzing waste products is equipped with a pyrolyzing furnace 7 for pyrolyzing the waste products and the pyrolysis residue-discharging mechanism installed in an outlet of the pyrolyzing furnace 7 and separating the waste products into a pyrolyzed gas produced in the pyrolyzing furnace and a residue after pyrolysis and discharging the residue after pyrolysis. In the apparatus, an inert gas-introducing part for introducing an inert gas G2 from reverse direction from a direction in which the residue after pyrolysis is conveyed is installed in the pyrolysis residue-discharging mechanism. Compaction of the residue after pyrolysis is prevented and fluidity is improved and defect of conveyance is suppressed by introduction of the inert gas.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyrolysis apparatus which can reduce the amount of char particles accompanied with pyrolyzed gases.
      SOLUTION: The pyrolysis apparatus is equipped with a rotary kiln 10 for generating pyrolyzed gases 2 and pyrolysis residue 3 by pyrolyzing waste 1, discharges the pyrolyzed residue generated in the rotary kiln to an outlet hopper 20, is equipped with a separation device 30 for recovering pyrolyzed residue particles accompanied with the pyrolyzed gases. The separation device is equipped with a cylindrical main body 31 for passing the pyrolyzed gases, an inlet pipe 35 for flowing the pyrolyzed gases generated in the kiln into the cylindrical main body and a return pipe 37 opening in the cylindrical main body in the downstream of the inlet pipe and discharging recovered pyrolyzed residue particles 4 to the outlet hopper 20. The cross section of the outlet hopper connected to the kiln is brought to have ≤0.1 m/sec maximum flow rate of the pyrolyzed gases at the outlet opening of a retort 11 of the rotary kiln.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a carbide film formed on the inner wall of a rotary kiln when waste is pyrolyzed in the rotary kiln without relying on a mechanical means such as a chain or a scraper.
      SOLUTION: The thickness of the carbide film formed on the inner wall of the rotary kiln is estimated using a calculation formula and, when this thickness reaches a predetermined thickness, the charging of waste into the kiln is stopped to discharge the pyrolytic residue and pyrolytic gas in the kiln, and an oxygen-containing gas is introduced into the kiln to burn and remove the carbide film. When the carbide film is formed on the inner wall surface of the kiln, heat conduction from the wall surface of the kiln lowers and pyrolysis is not advanced but the carbide film can by easily removed by this method without using a mechanical means.
