    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stratified scavenging 2-cycle engine capable of supplying air to a combustion chamber.
      SOLUTION: The stratified scavenging 2-cycle engine is furnished with a cylinder block having bores each provided with one or more scavenging ports and air ports. The bores extend to a crank case. The piston of the engine separates the combustion chamber in the cylinder bore from the crank area and is arranged as fitted in the bore slidably between the first position closest to the crank area and the second position. The air ports and the piston are arranged so that the air flows from the air ports into the combustion chamber when the piston lies in the first position. As one example, the scavenging ports and air ports have edges opened and shutting selectively in compliance with sliding of the piston, and each air port has a top in a position farthest from the crank area, and the top of the air port is shaped so that only part opens when the piston lies in the first position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-cycle internal combustion engine for reducing measured emission of a charge engine, and improving engine efficiency.
      SOLUTION: The carburetor type two-cycle engine includes: an air supply passage; a choke valve fixed to a turnable choke valve shaft and a lever and disposed in the air supply passage; and a throttle valve fixed to a turnable throttle valve. The engine further includes an air passage communicating with fresh air, and an air valve fixed to a rotatable air valve shaft. A piston in a cylinder of the engine includes a transfer port directly connects the air supply passage with the air passage. After rotation of a throttle valve by a predetermined rotation angle, an operating lever attached to the air valve shaft to be turnable transmits movement of the throttle lever to the air valve lever. The fast idling latch can be engaged with the choke lever to keep the throttle lever at a fast idling position until the throttle lever is separately moved.

When the locking mechanism is set to an unlocking position, the movable engagement point which recedes into the region of the knob is disengaged with the fixed engagement point.
