    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a thick coating layer with one time of stage and to form finer partitions by molding a coating liquid contg. a material forming partitions with a molding material and parting the moldings from molds after curing at the time of forming the partitions on a substrate surface. CONSTITUTION: The coating liquid 21 consisting essentially of fine powder of low melting glass contg. an adhesive is applied on the mold material 3 and a coating liquid layer is formed on the mold material 3. The excess coating liquid 21 built up on the surface of the mold material 3 is then scraped off by a scraper to flatten the surface of the mold material 3. Next, the glass substrate 1 is placed on the mold material 3 and the entire part is inverted to bring the side formed with the recessed parts of the mold material 3 into tight contact with the glass substrate 1. After the coating liquid 21 is cured, the mold material 3 is peeled from the glass substrate 1. Finally, the partitions 22 consisting of the cured coating liquid is calcined to form the glassy partitions. The partitions suitable for a plasma display device or a liquid crystal display device executing scanning by a plasma discharge are formed.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce a partitioning wall forming cost to fine the partitioning wall width, by constituting a partitioning wall layer, formed on a glass base board, of the sintered body of a thin plate state glass fine particle. CONSTITUTION: The partitioning wall 2 of a fine particle, composed of thin plate state glass having a thickness of 2μm or thinner, is formed on a glass base board 1. Coating liquid, prepared by blending photosensitive resin and an organic solvent, is applied to a thin plate state glass fine particle to be dried. Ultraviolet light 6 is irradiated to the glass base board 1 via a photomask 5 to make the photosensitive resin be sensitized. A resultant is developed to remove an unnecessary part to be baked and sintered, thereby obtaining a partitioning wall forming glass plate. When a thin plate state glass fine particle is used as a glass fine particle in the coating liquid, since the glass fine particle is arranged in a direction parallel to the base board 1 at the time of coating, the ultraviolet light becomes difficult to be expanded in a direction other than an irradiation part in an exposure process, and the attenuation of the ultraviolet light is reduced in a thickness direction, thereby a fine partitioning wall, having high height and narrow width, can be formed.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a surface of a glass plate where there is little undulation and damages and micro-cracks are shallow and few by laminating a hard sheet for grinding made of the organic resin containing diamond powder of the specified mean grain size as the surface layer for the grinding and a soft sheet with the cushioning quality as the layer of the rear surface. CONSTITUTION:A hard sheet 3 for grinding made of the organic resin containing diamond powder is laminated on a soft sheet 1 with an adhesive layer 2 to make the desired sheet for grinding. The diamond powder of fine grain size where the mean grain size is 3mum or under is used. If the diamond powder whose mean grain size is >=4mum is used. micro-cracks of >=1mum in depth are likely to be generated in the surface of the glass plate, and to remove this, further grinding of several mum becomes unpreferably necessary. The grain size of 0.1-2mum is more preferable to increase the working and removing speed and to make it difficult to increase the depth of micro-cracks.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the aspherical lens having excellent optical performance by adequately selecting the shape, preetching quantity and normal etching quantity of apertures. CONSTITUTION:A mask layer 1 which hinders chemical etching is formed on a flat plate surface to constitute a matrix. The fine circular apertures corresponding to the respective lenses to be produced and >=1 pieces of the apertures provided in the positions enclosing the circular apertures are provided on the mask layer 1. The flat plate surface is partially chemically etched (preetched) through these apertures and the mask layer 1 is removed. Further, the entire part of the flat plate surface is chemically etched (normal etched). A curved surface formed by the preetching is made into the compose shape of one ideal hemispherical surface and the hemispherical annular groove enclosing the circumference thereof. The depth of the central hemispherical surface is deeper than the depth of the annular groove around this surface. The aspherical lens having the radius of curvature which is smallest near the center of the lens and is gradually larger nearer the outer periphery is obtd. if the normal etching is executed in succession to the above-mentioned etching.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a device at a low cost by forming a multilayer film for making an infrared ray of a specified wavelength transmit or reflecting it selectively, on a beam splitter substrate.
      CONSTITUTION: A beam splitter 2 is provided in the rear of a condensing lens 1 for condensing a radiation energy from a radiation source 15. The beam splitter 2 forms a multilayer film on a substrate for making an infrared ray transmit, and makes it have a band pass filter characteristic by which an infrared ray of a wavelength area corresponding to a carbon dioxide gas resonance line is made to transmit selectively. Also, the first photodetector 3 and the second photodetector 4 are provided on a position for photodetecting said transmission quantity, and a position for photodetecting a reflected light, respectively. In this state, a flame is detected by processing a signal of both the photodetectors 3, 4. This beam splitter is formed easily, and the device can be obtained at a low cost.
