摘要： PURPOSE:To improve terminative pressure with compact constitution by incorporating integrally a rotary blade type pump and a mechanical booster pump in a common pump case to constitute a vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION:A vacuum pump device is constituted to incorporate a rotary blade type pump 2 and a mechanical booster pump 3 integrally in a common pump case 1. Then, the rotary blade type pump 2 is constituted principally from a plurality of stators 21, 22, pump chambers S1, S2 and rotors 27, 28. Also, the mechanical booster pump 3 is constituted to receive a pair of root type rotors 34a, 34b mounted to a plurality of driven shafts 33a, 33b in a pump chamber S3. The respective pumps 2, 3 are interconnected by a timing belt 37 so that the mechanical booster pump 3 is driven by a motor 4 in interlocking relation with the rotary blade type pump 2.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a Roots-type pump having good airtightness by forming at least the center part of the end face in the axial direction of a rotor with a hard ceramic member, forming a spiral groove on its surface, and interposing a ball in between said ceramic member and the inner wall of a casing. CONSTITUTION:At least the parts near the rotation centers of the end faces 13, 14 in the axial direction of the rotors 3, 4 of a Roots-type pump 1, are formed with a hard ceramic member, and thrust bearings consisting of plural radial spiral grooves 19 are formed on their surfaces. Also, recessed parts 15, 16 are formed on the center parts of the axial end faces 13, 14 of the rotors 3, 4 and on the center parts of said casings 2b, 2b', and balls 17, 18 which constitute radial bearings are placed in both the recessed parts. By this structure, a fluid film is formed on the side parts of the rotors 3, 4 due to the spiral grooves 19 and, since radial bearings are formed inside the casing 2, airtightness can be improved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To raise the volumetric efficiency and the total adiabatic efficiency of a Roots type vacuum machine, by cooling various parts of the machine including its rotors by drawing a low-temperature gas like the atmospheric air into the casing through the rotors. CONSTITUTION:Rotors 5, 6 are arranged in a casing 3 having a suction opening 1 and a discharge opening 2. On the other hand, suction ports 20 are formed in a side cover 4, and a low-temperature gas is introduced from an inlet port 22 defined by a partition wall 21. Further, hollow spaces 18, 18' are formed on the inside of the rotors 5, 6 in the manner that they are communicated with a chamber 10 in the casing 3 via connecting ports 19. With such an arrangement, the low-temperature gas introduced from the suction ports 20 is carried into the hollow spaces 18 and the chamber 10 and cools various parts of the vacuum machine.
