During rotation stop of the planetary carrier CA1, the lubricating oil flowing down due to own weight flows into the first introducing section 56 or a second introducing section 60, and is introduced from an intermediate oil passage 52 into the axial oil passage 44, and is made to flow out of the through hole 48, thereby lubricating the needle bearing 38 or the like. As a result, nonuniformity of lubricating oil supply is eliminated to obtain a uniform quantity of lubrication and also to obtain the durability of the planetary gear device 18 operated particularly at high speed rotation.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently apply a lubricating oil to members which are arranged on the external circumference of a hollow rotary body and require to be lubricated, while ensuring rigidity of the hollow rotary-body.
      SOLUTION: In a ring gear (hollow rotary-body) 26, a plurality of outward friction plates 80 and inward friction plates 82 requiring to be lubricated are provided, and lubricating holes 86 for communicating between the outside and inside circumferences with each other are made for oil-application to the outward frication plates 80 and the inward friction plates 82. Each of the lubrication holes 86 is made up of a diametrically expanded hole 86a and a smaller diameter hole 86b. The diametrically expanded hole 86a is opened on the external circumferential surface of the ring gear 26. The smaller diameter hole 86b has a diameter smaller than that of the diametrically expanded hole 86a, and allows the diametrically expanded hole 86a to communicate with the internal circumferential surface of the ring gear 26. Thus, the lubricating oil is applied to the wide area in the external circumference of the ring gear 26, and rigidity of the ring gear 26 is ensured, because the lubrication hole 86 has a smaller diameter except the diameter of the diametrically expanded hole 86a.
