    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an automatic parking brake state with a simple structure without consuming electric power. SOLUTION: The parking brake state is obtained by advancing actuation of a parking piston 44 of which back side faces a control hydraulic chamber 47 for parking to be slidably engaged with a casing 23. The advanced state of the parking piston 44 is mechanically locked by a lock mechanism 31. An insertion shaft 59 as part of the lock mechanism 31 and the casing 23 dispose ball elements 58 radially inward when the parking piston 44 is at a retraction limit. As the parking piston 44 advances from the retraction limit to an advanced position to make a lock piston 56 advance to the advance position, the ball elements 58 are disposed radially outward. In an outer surface of the insertion shaft 59, a plurality of guide grooves having a cross sectional form in a curvature recessed inward in a larger radius than that of the ball elements 58 are provided to be extended in the axial direction of the insertion shaft 59.
