    • PURPOSE:To improve the extent of startability by way of optimizing an air-fuel ratio at the time of restarting after there was reverse rotation in time of starting an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:When an engine control unit 30 is so judged that an engine 1 is at the time of starting on the basis of the detected value of an engine speed sensor 5 or the like, it drives and controls four injectors 6A-6D installed in an intake manifold 2a in order to spray a specified amount of fuel in accord with the starting. In addition, the engine control unit 30 is so judged that the engine 1 is reversed on the basis of the detected value of the sensor 25, it compensates a specified amount of fuel to be sprayed for decrement as long as a specified period from the time of judgment. Therefore, when reverse rotation has occurred in time of starting the engine 1, a specified amount of fuel to be sprayed is reduced in anticipation of a fuel portion or the like being blown back to the intake manifold 2a from the engine 1 during the reverse rotation. Accordingly, at the time of restarting after the reverse rotation, the reduced injection fuel is replenished into optimization in quantity through the fuel portion by means of fuel spitting.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at the travel stability of a vehicle by providing a fail-safe control means for operating a change speed control valve in such a way as to change gear ratio slowly at the time of detecting the operation abnormality of a speed change direction switching valve. CONSTITUTION:This control device is provided with a speed change direction switching valve for switching the operating direction of a hydraulic actuator in response to the operation of a first solenoid, and a change speed control valve for controlling the operating speed of the hydraulic actuator in response to the operation of a second solenoid, and is constructed in such a way as to change the change direction and change speed of the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission by operating the first and second solenoids. There is further provided a speed change direction switching valve operation abnormality detecting means for detecting the operation abnormality of the speed change direction switching valve on the basis of difference between the speed change command state and the actual speed change state in the continuously variable transmission. In the case of detecting the operation abnormality of the speed change direction switching valve, the change speed control valve is operated by a fail-safe control means so as to change the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission slowly.
