摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To examine the degree of reduction in the total amount of impure gases in samples in a molten state, thereby objectively manage sample quality, and reduce costs.
SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring the weight of high-temperature molten metal at atmospheric pressure is provided with an arm 8 having one end fixed to a top part of a column 7 extending directly above from a balance body 6 and the other end extending in a horizontal direction; a sample cup 3 mounted to a tip part of the arm 8 for housing molten metal; a thermal shielding member 10 provided for the arm 8 between the balance body 6 and the sample cup 3 to the molten metal; and a thermal shield 1 for surrounding the balance body 6, the arm 8, the sample cup 3, and the thermal shielding member 10. In the apparatus for measuring the weight of molten metal, an inert gas forms a non-chemically-reactive atmosphere in the periphery of the molten metal.
