    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a tire bead portion hard to separate from a rim during run-flat traveling.
      SOLUTION: A fitting portion 28B projecting out to tire axial direction outside is integrally provided on the radially inner end side of a leg portion 28 of a supporting element 12. The fitting portion 28B is put between a tire bead portion 25 and a bead seat 16B of the rim 16. As compared with a conventional type leg portion wherein a fitting portion 28D is not formed, a contacting area to the bead seat 16B is increased. Furthermore, a load is applied on the fitting portion 28B, and the fitting portion 28B is put between the tire bead portion 25 and the bead seat 16B of the rim 16. Therefore, the tire bead portion 25 becomes hard to fall to a drop portion 16D during run-flat traveling.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pneumatic tire making a leg portion of a supporting element hard to fall onto a drop portion during run-flat traveling.
      SOLUTION: The width of a radially inside part of a tire bead portion 24 is formed to be narrow. A relationship between the width (a) of a bead base, the width (b) of a radially inner end portion of the leg portion 28, and the width (c) of a bead seat is made to be c>a+b. Although a load is applied on the supporting element 12 during run-flat traveling, and axial force is applied on the leg portion 28 of the supporting element 12, the radially inside end portion of the leg portion 28 is disposed to fit in the bead seat 16B with a tire bead portion 25 without projecting out therefrom. Therefore, the leg portion 28 is certainly supported by the bead seat 16B, and the leg portion 28 becomes hard to fall onto the drop portion 16D.

      SOLUTION: Leg support parts 30 projecting inside the tire axial direction are formed in toe parts of bead parts 25 and the leg parts 28 of the support 12 are mounted on the leg support parts 30. In the run-flat traveling, an axial force is applied to the supports 12, however, the internal circumferential whole bodies of the leg parts 28 are supported in contact with the outer circumferences of the leg support parts 30 so as to prevent the easy falling of the leg parts 28 to the drop part 16D. In a semi-assy state where the support 12 is disposed inside the pneumatic tire 14, the leg parts 28 abut on the leg support parts 30 to prevent the movement in transport.
