    • This invention concerns a device and a process for controlling the braking force on at least one wheel of a vehicle. This device or process provides the following means: means for determining a criterion describing and/or influencing vehicle motion, means for determining the quantity describing the dynamics of the corresponding wheel, and means which, in relationship to the already determined criterion describing and/or influencing vehicle motion, determines whether a braking action on a wheel independent of the driver is foreseeable. Moreover, the device or process, provides means with which, when a predictable braking action independent of the driver is proving necessary a slight activation of variable duration of the actuators linked to the wheel can be carried out. The duration of this slight activation of the actuators is defined at least in relationship to the quantity describing the dynamics of the corresponding wheel.
