    • The present invention relates to a power take-off (PTO) of an engine-driven vehicle. The PTO comprises a first unit (2) which incorporates not only a motion-transmitting element (5) connected to a driveline of the vehicle but also a hub (10) with a recess which forms part of a first spline connection, a second unit (7) which incorporates not only connecting means to make it possible to connect an equipment item (8) intended to be driven by the PTO but also a hub (18) with a recess forming part of a second spline connection, and a shaft (6) which extends between the first unit (2) and the second unit (7) and which comprises a first portion (12) forming a complementing part of the first spline connection and a second portion (15) forming a complementing part of the second spline connection. The first portion (12) and second portion (15) of the shaft can be positioned at various angles to the recess of the accommodating hubs (10, 18).

    • The present invention relates to a method and a system for effecting a specific transmission ratio in a motor vehicle between a first shaft (22) of a gearbox (1) and a shaft (6) of a power take-off (10), whereby rotary motion is transmitted from a first motion-transmitting element (21) on the first shaft (22) to a motion-transmitting element (5) on the power take-off shaft (6) via a second motion-transmitting element (23) situated between them. The method and the system are characterised in that the motion-transmitting element (5) is selected with a diameter such that it is situated at a predetermined first between-centres distance (x) from the second motion-transmitting element (23) which is substantially equal to a second between-centres distance (y) between the first and second motion-transmitting elements (21, 23). The present invention also relates to a bearing bracket (3) which at least partly houses the motion-transmitting element (5) and which is characterised by at least one spacing element (37) intended to be situated between the flange (31) and the gearbox (1).

    • The present invention relates to a vibration damping device for a bearing (2) arranged between a rotating shaft (3) and a bearing seat (4). The device comprises at least one solid body (1) which is arranged on or closely adjacent to an outer side of an outer bearing ring (5) forming part of the bearing (2) and which is so designed as to eliminate all or some of the vibrations propagated from the shaft (3) to the bearing seat (4) via the bearing (2) during operation. The invention also relates to a bearing device with such a vibration damping device, and methods for interruption of undesirable vibration transmission from a rotating shaft (3) to a bearing seat (4) via a bearing device supporting a shaft (2) by adaptation of the characteristics of the solid body (1). The present invention improves the possibility of dealing with vibrations which are propagated from a rotating shaft (3) to a machine body via a bearing (2).
