    • The present invention relates to a method of coloring a tension coating layer of an electric steel sheet by adding a semiconductor, and an electric steel sheet colored by the method. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of coloring an electric steel sheet, the method including: adding 1 to 3 wt % reactive semiconductor compound and 1 to 3 wt % cadmium oxide to a tension coating material of an electric steel sheet with respect to a total weight of the coating material, by a weight ratio of 1:1; coating the tension coating material onto the electric steel sheet; and heat-treating the coated electric steel sheet at a temperature of 150 to 1200 °C for 2 to 200 seconds, and an electric steel sheet colored by the method. That is, the present invention relates to a technology of hiding surface detects formed under the tension coating layer of the electric steel sheet by virtue of coloring of the electric steel sheet when SiO and semiconductor particles inside a tension coating material are grown by adding a semiconductor to the coating material of the electric steel sheet and heat-treating the coating material.
