摘要： A u-shaped crossmember is employed in the construction of a chassis frame of a medium or heavy duty battery electric vehicle. In the design, frame rails are joined by at least one of U-shaped cross members, which comprises a main center section and four or more support arms, which extend away from the main center section of the cross member in the transverse direction of the longitudinal frames. The cross members, in one example, include two brackets. Each bracket has two arms connected by a center main portion. These brackets can be fabricated by creating a plurality of angles in several locations that add up to 90-degrees. The angled design allows the transmission of longitudinal and lateral forces to both frame rails. Due to U-shaped nature of the cross member, the body of the chassis frame is opened to allow for installation of components, subassemblies, and especially battery packs, etc.

摘要： An interchangeable power train system for use with either a 3-wheel electric powered vehicle or a 4 wheel electric powered vehicle includes a power assembly and a drive assembly mounted to a support assembly and disposed in an operative communication with one another. A chassis assembly for a 3-wheel electric vehicle body and/or a 4 wheel electric vehicle body is provided, wherein the support assembly includes one or more mounts and the chassis assembly has one or more corresponding interconnects each dimensioned and disposed to temporarily yet securely interconnect to a corresponding one of the mounts on the support assembly. An interface assembly operatively connects the power assembly and the drive assembly to either a 3-wheel electric vehicle or a 4 wheel electric vehicle to permit operation by a user seated therein.

The new conception for bodies construction, comprising a modular structure on an automotive vehicle chassis, with an assembly process allowing automatic manufacturing of bodies, by means of a panel-joining procedure, using the fewest number of components possible. The novel manufacturing and assembly process for automotive vehicle structure is able to allow a dynamic manufacturing process, not requiring welding, with the whole structure being modular. The resulting body has a modular structure comprising a front module (1), sides (2) and (21), ceiling (4), rear module (3), chassis (5), lower skirt (22), floor (27) and windows (28), joint by means of screws, rivets or a gluing process, as well as by metallic profiles (26), provided with rim (9), side rim (32), rail (23) and lower rim (36), by curve profile (19), which is provided with fitting areas (12), structural components (20) and curve structural elements (21) and structural components (35) and (34). The present descriptive report relates to a peculiar and original productive process for manufacturing and modular assembly of automotive vehicle structure, for passenger and load transportation, establishing a new conception for constructing bodies, using the least number of components possible.
