摘要： A heat absorbing coating having a plurality of micro-capsules each being an encapsulant shell and a heat absorbing material within the shell, and a carrier adherable to a substrate and throughout which the micro-capsules are dispersed. The heat absorbing material is preferably a phase change material and can be non-limitedly chosen from the group consisting of polyethylene, polypropylene, polywax, and combinations thereof. Shell material can be a metal such as copper, for example, or a polymer. The carrier can be a sprayable polymer mix which provides significant efficacy in uniform application to a substrate. An inventive substrate structure, such as an aircraft structure for example, has thereon the above-defined coating in an amount sufficient to absorb a sufficient amount of heat from the substrate to substantially inhibit thermal erosion in normal operating environments.

摘要： In a pneumatic tire for vehicles produced by vulcanizing and molding a rubber material, a cap portion (12A) of the upper layer of a tread which comes into direct contact with a road surface is made of a foamed rubber having a large number of elongated closed cells (24). The outer peripheral portion of the elongated closed cell (24) is reinforced by a protective layer (26) of a resin. A material whose viscosity becomes lower than that of a rubber matrix and a foaming agent generating a gas in a tire vulcanization process are kneaded with the rubber raw material to obtain a rubber composition, and after this composition is shaped into a web form, it is bonded to the crown portion of a green tire case. The resin is molten by the heat of vulcanization, its viscosity becomes lower than that of the rubber matrix, the gas generated inside the rubber moves into, and concentrates on, the molten resin, so that the elongated closed cells (24) each equipped with the resin protective layer (26) over their outer peripheral portion can be formed.

摘要： In a process for producing mouldings, in particular particle boards, at least one binding agent is mixed with a least one fine-particle basic material extruded at high temperature and pressure. The basic material has, or is brought to, a total content of 6 to 25 wt.%. It is extruded, together with at least one biopolymer, preferably a binding agent containing starch which can be converted to molten and/or gel form at least at the extrusion temperature and pressure, and the fine-particle material. Immediately after extrusion, the pressure is relieved by spontaneous expansion. The device for implementing the process comprises extrusion machines (2, 20) for starting components in lump form. These machines have an extrusion nozzle (26, 260) and an upstream processing region (204) where the basic material to be processed is partially pressure relieved by internal partial expansion. The extruded mouldings have a compact surface and a basic material in which particles of a fine-particle fibrous material are distributed throughout a matrix containing numerous minute voids. The fraction of starch-containing matrix is equal to 5 to 85 wt.%.
