    • A specific component concentration measurement method capable of reliably measuring concentration with a high accuracy without performing background measurement. A concentration measurement device includes a concentration measurement probe (2) which is brought into contact with an object to be measured, a light source (1) for emitting light to be introduced into the concentration measurement probe, a polarizer (7) for extracting P-polarized light component and S-polarized light component from the light which has been introduced into the object to be measured from the concentration measurement probe (2), propagated through the object to be measured, and come back to the concentration measurement probe (2), a photo detector (6) for measuring at least the light amount of the P-polarized light component and the S-polarized light component which have been extracted, and calculation means (8) for calculating concentration of a specific component contained in the object to be measured, according to the measurement result.
