The device 20 includes planar lower surface 35 comprising guidance means 40, 42 for inducing a laminar flow beneath the device 20 of contaminated air entering through the grille 32 to by-pass the air duct(s) 22, and an inlet 44 to permit air from the laminar flow beneath the device 20 to reach the air duct(s) 22 of the induction system 12. An air induction system 12 and a vehicle 10 are also described.

    • An air intake structure (1), feeding air to an engine, in particular of motorcycle type, of a vehicle, comprises: a container divided by a main baffle (20) into two distinct chambers: a first chamber (10) communicating with outside and a second chamber (11) communicating with a throttled body by means of a feeding duct (5); the two chambers (10, 11) being separated by a filter (9), positioned at said main baffle, providing for the air cleaning, the first and the second chamber (10, 11) extending longitudinally side-by-side one with respect to the other one so as to define opposite sides of the air intake structure (1); wherein the air intake structure (1) further comprises a pre-chamber (6) accessing said first chamber (10), separated therefrom by a cross wall (21) and communicating therewith by means of an access duct (12) crossing said wall (21), with an inlet end thereof (7) arranged in said pre-chamber (6) and an outlet end thereof (22) arranged in said first chamber (10), said pre-chamber (6) being arranged on the front side with respect to a forward direction of the vehicle; wherein the pre-chamber (6) comprises a front access mouth (23), opened outside; and wherein the pre-chamber (6) includes a diverting baffle (43) interposed between said access mouth and the inlet end (7) of said access duct (12), transversal to the air path, extending from a peripheral wall of said pre-chamber (6) as far as a terminal end thereof (24) which forms, with the peripheral walls of said pre-chamber (6), a staggered passage opening (44) with respect to said access mouth (6).

    • A radiator screen arrangement (10) for a combine harvester is provided. A screen (12) through which air, which is to pass through a radiator, is drawn by a fan. Rotating means (16) are provided for rotating the screen. Blanking means (18), past which the screen is rotated, provides a blanked off area of the screen which is not subject to the induction pressure of the fan and from which particles can therefore be more easily removed. The arrangement is characterised in that the blanking means has a leading edge (18a) which is of generally spiral shape so that the particles on the outer surface of the screen which enter the blanked-off area can reach the outer periphery (12d) of the rotating screen without being exposed to the induction pressure of the fan and hence have an improved chance of being detached from the screen.
