摘要： A muffler assembly includes a housing defining at least one internal chamber. The housing is constructed from a composite material made from a thermoplastic resin and a reinforcing element. The reinforcing element is selected from a group of reinforcing materials consisting of glass fibers, aramid fibers, polyamide fibers, carbon fibers, graphite fibers, mineral fibers, ceramic fibers, carbon nanotubes, nano fillers, mineral fillers, ceramic fillers and combinations thereof. A pipe is received in the housing. The pipe includes at least one opening providing acoustic communication between an internal passage in the pipe and the chamber in the housing. According to the invention, noise emission is reduced by an expansion chamber in the exhaust system, which is connected to the combustion chamber via the valves during the expulsion of the exhaust gases and to the atmosphere for at least part of the remaining time. In addition, a small vehicle is described which is fitted with such a drive system which can be taken everywhere with it. For this purpose, the small vehicle is collapsible, its frame comprising a front section and a rear section, which can be folded together through a hinge in a swivelling axis parallel to the small wheels. The swivelling lever can likewise be pivoted and aligned with a swivelling axis parallel to the small wheels on the front section of the frame.
