    • An apparatus for grouping discrete laminar articles (30) into batches of predetermined count includes a feed conveyor (12), a left-hand screw (18) and a right-hand screw (16) combination, a means (24) for synchronizing and automating starting and stopping rotation of the screws (16,18) and a platform assembly (26).
