    • A coin repository (2) comprises a receptacle (4) having an opening (10) cut into an upper wall (4b) from which coins can pass into the receptacle (4). A door (30) is hinged on an inside of the upper wall (4b) and configured to be selectively held between an open position (26) where coins can pass through the opening (10) and a closed position (28) where the door (30) underlies and closes the opening (10) preventing the removal of coins from the receptacle (4). Spring (20) biases the door (30) toward the closed position (28). Two separately keyed mechanisms (6 and 8) operate respective catches (12 and 14). When the catch (12) is in a first position it holds the door (30) in the closed position. The second catch (14) when in a first position can hold the door (30) in an open position. The second catch (14) can be moved to a second position where it locks the repository (2) into a vending machine. When the repository (2) is in the vending machine, a coin chute (34) extends into the opening (10) holding the door in an open position. When the catch (14) is operated to release the repository (2) from the machine, and the repository (2) is subsequently removed, the door (30) automatically moves to the closed position by action of a spring (20) and is subsequently locked in the closed position by the catch (12).

    • An apparatus (2) for dispensing packets (12) of goods comprises a feed mechanism (4) having a dispensing opening (8) in which is provided a platform (6) for engaging a packet (12) to be dispensed. A striking member (14) is rotated about the platform (6) at a position to strike and subsequently push the packet (12) supported by the platform (6) from the platform (6) thereby dispensing the packet (12) from the opening (8). After the striking member (14) passes across the platform (6) the feed mechanism (4) sequentially feeds a next packet (12) to the opening (8) where it is supported on the platform (6). This dispensing process can be repeated to dispense the packet (12) now supported on the platform (6). In this way each of the packets (12) held in the feed mechanism (4) can be sequentially dispensed.

    • A cup dispensing apparatus (10) comprises a support system (12) formed from a plurality of individual support members (18). Each support member (18) has an upper surface (14) and a lower surface (16). The support members (18) are disposed about an opening (20) dimensioned to allow a cup (22) to pass therethrough. By rotating each of the support members (18) in a first direction the upper surface (14) is moved or retracted from the opening (20) while the lower surface (16) is progressively extended into the opening (20) so that a cup (22) initially supported on the upper surface (14) drops to the lower surface (16). Rotating the support members (18) in an opposite progressively retracts the lower surface (16) from the opening so that a cup supported on the surface (16) is now free to fall through the opening (20).     • A filtration system (2) comprises a first chamber (4) disposed above a cooking chamber (14), and a second chamber (16) disposed beneath the cooking chamber (14). The conduit (18) and portion (21) that is attached to the second chamber (16), and another portion (19) that engages the first chamber (14) and is fluid communication with the outlet (6). The conduit portions (19 and 21) are coupled together by hinge (20) so that the portion (19) can be disengaged from the chamber (4) allowing the chamber (4) to be removed from the cooking chamber (14).
